¡Hola a todos! Me llamo Sra. Antoski y soy tu profesora de español.

I am so excited to be joining you on your language learning journey this year! I have a passion for language learning, culture and education. This is my 9th year teaching. This year, I am teaching full-time at Stoney Creek High School! In previous years, I have also taught at Hart Middle and the Virtual Campus.

I believe that learning a foreign language allows us to grow in our understanding of ourselves and others. I am deeply committed to helping all of my students grow academically, emotionally and socially through language learning. I love to incorporate games, music, collaborative activities and technology in to our learning. Learning Spanish is so much fun but it also takes hard work and a growth mindset.

Before joining Hart, I was a high-school Spanish teacher at The International Academy (the IA) for over five years. There, I instructed various levels of IB Spanish language and culture courses and served in multiple school leadership roles.

I am a proud Oakland University Alumna where completed the Secondary Teachers Education Program (STEP) and obtained a Bachelors in Spanish and Sociology with a K-12 Certificate. I also am a proud sister of Alpha Delta Pi.

I have been blessed with many mentors from all over the Spanish speaking world who have been essential in the development of my Spanish language skills over the past 17 years. To date, I have traveled to 14 counties and have a passion for immersing myself in local cultures and traditions!

I am deeply committed to equitable programs that foster creativity and growth for of all types of learners. As the older sister of two adults with Autism, it has been my life's mission to use my professional and personal experiences to serve others, especially those with unique needs. In the classroom setting, I strive to create a principled community that embraces all students' differences.

My passion to promote equity and service has led me to extend my outreach beyond the classroom. In my time outside of the classroom, I work with several nonprofit organizations. I previously served as director of a summer camp that brings individuals with special needs and high school/college volunteers together for a life-changing experience. I also work with various adaptive sports programs for adults with special needs.

I was married on Cinco de Mayo of 2018. My husband and I live in Rochester Hills. Coincidentally, my husband and siblings-in-law attended Hart Middle School and Stoney Creek High School! In my spare time, you will find me spending time with friends and family, cooking a new recipe, learning something new, or enjoying all of the fun The Mitten has to offer.

I look forward to the wonderful year ahead!

Thank you for reading my bio!
