COVID Recovery Assistance Program

The Rawlins County COVID Recovery Assistance Program is a grant program for small businesses, non-profit organizations and government entities in Rawlins County that have been affected by COVID. This program has been made possible through Phase 1 SPARK (Strengthening People and Revitalizing Kansas) Funding from the CARES Act and the Rawlins County Commissioners.

In July, Rawlins County was granted $498,955 through the SPARK Funding Program. The county commissioners appointed a Task Force and hired Cathy Domsch to facilitate the process. Task Force Members include: Ryan Murray, Emergency Management; Karla Heble, Public Health; Charles Peckham, County Attorney; and Rachel Finley, County Clerk. Applications were accepted from large county stakeholders and submitted to the State for approval in August.

Through this process, the Rawlins County SPARK Task Force and County Commissioners felt it imperative to set aside dollars to assist our local business community, non-profits and smaller government entities, so $181,350 was earmarked to create the Rawlins County COVID Recovery Assistance Program.

Applications are due by 5:00pm on November 16th, 2020 to Cathy Domsch at buildingcommunity@rawlinscounty.org
