Middle School Winds and Mallets Audition Requirements:
Two scales and arpeggios (tongued for winds) chosen by the judge from the RCS/ACS All-County Band Middle School Scale Sheet. The middle school scales do NOT need to be memorized. Middle school students are allowed to bring in their scale sheets to the audition room. A copy of the middle school scale sheet will be provided in the scale room as well. The middle school scales will be released to the middle school directors to tell their students the day of the audition.

Students are not allowed to bring their scale sheets into the audition room and no copy of the scale sheet will be provided in the audition room.
Chromatic scale (slurred or tongued-players choice for winds) from the North Carolina Bandmasters Association 9/10 Honor Band Audition Sheet. The chromatic scale must also be memorized.
