Moving objects contain energy. The faster an object is moving, the more energy it has. Energy can be moved from place to place by moving objects.

After learning about energy and energy transformations, students worked in pairs and designed an invention that could make a roller skate move across the floor, without touching it. They had to show what energy transformations were taking place and what energy was present or created.
