Hello Everyone! 

My name is Charles Reta and it is my honor to be your Social Science teacher.  I have been teaching for just about 18 years and could not imagine myself doing anything else.  It is my belief that ALL of my students can be successful and achieve their goals. I grew up attending PYLUSD schools and consider myself lucky to have received the right preparation for college, and committed to providing the same for my students. I am a graduate from California State University Fullerton with a BA in Geography and earned my Masters in Teaching from Azusa Pacific University.  Outside of school I thoroughly enjoy the adventure of traveling and spending time exploring the big blue planet.  In our house teaching is a family affair, my wife is also a teacher in the district and we are invested in providing a positive academic experience for you and your families.  And as a new parents ourselves we believe ALL students deserve a positive and caring environment to learn.  Welcome Valencia students to the 2024-2025 school year, I look forward to all of your accomplishments.
