So what is this class all About?

This rigorous academic program allows students to think critically and solve problems that influence our lives and those of others. The class is STEM based meaning students will be exposed to principles of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The jumping block to these skills is through Mechanical Engineering.

This program will use Project Lead the Way concepts (pltw.org) for guidance. Students will use professional 3D software AutoDesk Pro while learning the design process. There is little homework and all work is project based. Daily attendance is mandatory as this course relies heavily on teamwork.

In addition to C.A.D., Honor students will also be exposed to mechanical robots and automation. Students will learn mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine transfer, machine automation and computer control systems.
