Course Description:
We will focus on five areas of English: Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Speaking/Listening.
Students will read and study a variety of texts including classical literature, short stories, poetry, and nonfiction, focusing on analysis and critical thinking. Extended writing will include literary analysis, informative/explanatory, argumentative, and narrative essays. Research skills will be incorporated in writing and projects. Students will participate in formal presentations and small group discussions.
