Official Meeting 1/17/2013

The official meeting today after school started the second semster off with a bang! No more just talking about doing things; this meeting solidified major decisions and got all of the committees started on individual projects. HOSA has chosen to support Cystic Fibrosis Research for the next two years and our Publicity and Fundraising committees are doing their part to support the cause. In addition to developing a fundraiser to pay for state competitions, Fundraising will be working with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to create a school wide effort to raise money for the cause. Publicity will be publishing a support video to the announcements some time in the near future to spread awareness about CF. In addition to these two, the Community Service committee will be recycling used lab equipment and donating it to local middle schools, and Events Planning has taken on the task of making our movie night happen. The ideas that committees came up for long term projects way long ago can be found under Member Documents, so be sure to check that out.

Everyone needs to remember to purchase their tee shirts for ten dollars from the bookstore or directly from Apoorva Bhaskara and we hope to see our members advertising HOSA by wearing our shirts on official meeting days (every third Thursday of the month).
