The health office hours are 8:45AM thru 3:45PM. Closed for lunch 1:30PM - 2:00PM and 3:10-3:40 for prep.

Students are unable to carry medications on their person except inhalers with spacers or epipens. A doctor's note needs to be on file in the Health Office every year for an inhaler or epipen to be carried on their person. The Doctor can fax a note to the Health Office @ 602-449-4205.

Over the counter medications may only be given by the nurse unless we have a Doctor's order with specific dose and times. Over the counter medication forms may be filled out by a parent anytime throughout the school year for the nurse to be able to give acetaminophen, ibuprofen, antacids or Benadryl without calling a parent. We have school stock of these medications donated by PTO. Any questions please call the Health office @ 602-449-4203.

PE excuses may be given with a parent note for a total of 3 days per semester, any longer a doctor's note is required.

Please remind your students to come to the Health Office to be assessed by the nurse if not feeling well. Do not have them text or call you first. By following this procedure it allows the nurse to monitor any illnesses that are prevalent in the school community. There are many ways to help your child feel better without having them go home. If they need to go home the nurse will call you. We appreciate your help with this matter.

If your child has a new or worsening health issue please call the health office so we may assist your child during the school day.

Please remind your children the importance of eating breakfast and drinking fluids. They are allowed to carry water bottles at school with water in them.

All our classrooms are nut free due to many students with life threatening nut and peanut allergies. They are allowed to have items with nuts outside, in the courtyard and in the cafeteria. Thank you for your help with this health issue.

Also, we are a spray free campus. This means students and staff can not use sprays such as cologne, perfumes, mouth sprays or spray deodorants on campus throughout the school day including in the PE locker room. The reasoning is allergies, asthma, migraines and students have accidently sprayed some of these items in another students eyes. Safety for all students and staff on campus.

Any questions or concerns please call the health office @ 602-449-4203.

Thank you,

Claire Zepeda RN
