Blender Maintenance

When you make Flute Smoothies, moisture builds up inside your flute.

This is normal and nothing to be worried about, unless that moisture never gets wiped away.

If you do not clean out your flute after playing, that moisture will ruin the pads under your keys

and you will need to pay for them to be replaced.

Excess moisture in also makes your flute a nice home for bacteria and mold,

so it is important for your health to take the time to swab out your flute every time you finish playing.

SWABBING

Because A Clean Blender Makes A Better Smoothie!

Step 1 - Take your flute apart, foot joint first, then the body, and simply "dump" any excess moisture out with a little shake.

Step 2 - Place the three parts back in your open flute case and grab your cleaning rod and a soft, absorbent cloth.

Step 3 - Thread a corner of the cloth through the loop at the end of your cleaning rod and wrap the rest of the cloth around the rod.

Step 4 - Hold the Body in your left hand and carefully insert the clothed rod into the bottom bore and swab gently.

Step 5 - Replace the Body in the case and repeat Step 4 with the Foot Joint and the Head Joint.

Enjoy the benefits of a clean, moisture-free flute!

You will not believe how many different Smoothies you can make!
