Attending Golf Meets

Many parents ask if they can attend golf meets... of course you can! We would love to see you show your support. Here are some general tips and rules to follow when you do attend a meet:

- Once a golfer tees off on the first hole, spectators are NOT allowed to talk /signal the golfer.  You can yell, "Nice Shot", or something similar, but you cannot give any coaching by word of mouth or use hand signals.

- Don't get upset if you see an opposing coach not helping a golfer; we aren't allowed to help unless we are asked.

- You are not allowed to walk on the fairways. Spectators must stay a good distance away in the rough.

- You cannot talk to a golfer when they make the turn (after the first 9 holes).

- Please help find lost balls, especially if you see the general area where it lands. It is appreciated!

- You are more than welcome to come inside the clubhouse after a golfer has finished. Once they have turned in their official score card, you may talk to them.

- You must walk when out on the course so make sure you dress appropriately.

- Most tournaments are shot gun starts. This means golfers start on different holes throughout the course...they don't all tee off on Hole #1.  To find out where a golfer is teeing off, you will need to know what number player they are (Varsity 1 - 5, JV 1 - 10). Find any coach and they will be able to point you in the right direction.
