Korero Pt England (KPE) comes from Pt England Primary School in Auckland, New Zealand.

KPE is produced as part of the school reading programme. The students read books by New Zealand authors and present short reviews to inspire potential readers. Each episode focuses on one book that is of interest to primary aged readers and new episodes are added regularly. They are really keen to hear from their listeners.

The students involved in the Korero Pt England book reviews are Year 5 and 6 students. They are mostly Maori and Pasifika students and have discovered a delight in reading through using current technologies alongside their reading experiences. This has not only engaged them in reading but has also contributed to increased achievement when measured by testing.
