The Pt England Way. Festivals - ‘What’s it all about?’ Year 7 and 8 Extension Group
Festivals are part of the lives of many people around the world. One such festival is that of Halloween. What do we actually know about this festival? Present day NZ now promote this day with sales of all sorts of goods along the Halloween theme.
We will:
LEARN: what we think we know about this festival and it’s origins, compare it to what resources say about this.
CREATE: short movie showing our pre and post findings from the range of resources available to us (list these in doc and movie). This will incorporate the use of script, visual and audio components.
SHARE: our movie and knowledge via our blogs, PENN and SchoolTV. Movie posted on blog will be accompanied by 2 paragraphs that clearly outline steps that you took to complete the learn, create and share processes. A third paragraph including a reflection on self and quality of work in the three strands stated in rubric below.
