You are required to do a Final Design Project for this class with the following requirements:
Develop a non-trivial embedded system or device that performs some useful function.
You may work in a group of 2, 3 or 4 students. Note that more is expected the larger the group is.
Turn in a proposal document that shows your group members and what you are proposing to do. (Due date: Tuesday 22/04/2014 in class)
Email your proposal To: <b.sababha@psut.edu.jo>, CC: <k.Ghalieh@psut.edu.jo> and every team member.
The email subject shall contain the following: "EE22701 Embedded Systems Design Project Proposal: then the title of your project"
The proposal shall include a cover page with the following information:Title of the project, team members' names, Student IDs, Majors, and email contact for each member. The content of the proposal shall include an introduction, the proposed idea, a list of expected components and cost expectations.
For final demos, create a poster (a suggested template is to be provided later) and use it to help explain your work. Have your system up and running to show it off.
Upload your project to your group folder below. Make sure to upload: (Due date Saturday 31/05/2014.)
Report, Should include these sections:
Abstract
Introduction and Background
Your Design (Mechanical, Electrical, Software)
Problems and recommendations
Conclusion
Source code (Compress your project folder, this should include everything including the hex)
Poster file (Suggested template is attached below)
PPT Slides
Good pics
At least one video (Upload a video to YouTube and add the link to your Group folder below, use the following Tags: PSUT, Princess Sumaya University for Technology, www.psut.edu.jo, Embedded Systems Design Class)
A Video of you and your team doing a silde presentation about the project.(Upload the video to you tube and use the same tags as before)
Important Dates:
1. Project proposal Document (1 to 2 pages) and Group Members Names:Due date: Sunday 22/04/2014
2. Final project presentations/demos/displays: Sunday 01/06/2014. As follows:
- The Final project prototype demos and presentations will be on 04:00 pm in the Embedded Systems Lab.
- Every group will have to setup their prototype and poster on a table in the Projects lab.
Misc:
Please make sure to printout your poster and mount it on a hard board to have it displayed for you somewhere in the school of engineering.
See attached grading form to get an idea of what the judges will be looking for.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Fill in the "22701EmbeddedSystemsPeerEvalsSpring2014" Word document (To be attached later), print it and turn it in (in a sealed envelop) on the day of the presentation. You will not be graded before you turn in the form filled out.
