AP Chemistry facilitates the transition from high school to higher levels of college chemistry. It is a college level course in the fundamentals of Chemistry. The course covers the second half of the college text and is in content depth and breadth essentially equivalent to a second semester Chemistry course at the university level. The laboratory work requirements closely follow the established recommended labs for any university second semester Chemistry course. It is highly recommended for potential science, pre-medical, and engineering studies.
