Premium Mud Pump Liners
The mud pump liner is a critical wear-prone component within the fluid end of a mud pump; consequently, the service life of the liner directly impacts the overall service life of the mud pump. Because the working surface of the liner is exposed to high-temperature, high-pressure gases—and subjected to high-speed reciprocating motion by piston rings—it is imperative that the liner possess not only sufficient strength and rigidity but also resistance to high temperatures, corrosion, and wear. There are four common types of mud pump liners: single-metal liners, bi-metal liners, ceramic liners, and nickel-based alloy liners.
At PIINC, we provide a comprehensive range of mud pump liners engineered to deliver exceptional durability and cost-efficiency across diverse drilling environments. Mud Pump Piston Assembly
The mud pump piston assembly is one of the primary components of the mud pump's fluid end system, as well as one of the wear parts most susceptible to abrasion during drilling operations. The discharge pressure of the mud pump is generated through the linear reciprocating motion of the piston assembly within the cylinder. The piston assembly consists of a piston core, a rubber piston body, a retaining ring, a pressure plate, and other components. Specifically, the piston core is manufactured from 42CrMo alloy steel, while the piston body is made of nitrile rubber or polyurethane rubber.
At PIINC, we offer an extensive selection of mud pump pistons engineered for superior sealing, reduced friction, and extended service life. Our pistons are manufactured using world-class forged and heat-treated hubs (AISI 5140/4140/4135) to withstand the most demanding drilling pressures up to 7,500 PSI.
Designed for cost-efficiency, these pistons allow for quick field replacement of the rubber or polyurethane inserts, significantly reducing long-term operating expenses.
NBR (Nitrile) Options: Ideal for Water-Based Mud (WBM) and Synthetic-Based Mud (SBM). Rated for 5,000 PSI and temperatures up to 250°F (120°C).

Crankshaft assembly consists of crankshaft, big gear rim, connecting rod, crankshaft bearing and link bar bearing etc. They are installed on main frame through self-aligning roller bearing. Crankshaft is an integral cast eccentric shaft. 3 cranks share out 120 degrees equally. Left and right inclined (bevel) gear rings are integrated to be herringbone gear rim, which is installed on crankshaft. 3 connecting rod big end bearings are single row short cylindrical roller bearings installed respectively at three eccentric cranks of elbows shaft. Connecting rod small end is installed on crosshead pin through double row long cylindrical roller bearing.
Crosshead assembly
Crosshead assembly consists of crosshead, guide plate, crosshead pin and intermediate tie rod(intermediate rod)etc. Upper and lower guide plates are assembled on main frame and guide plate holes are formed; through crosshead pins, crosshead is driven by connecting rod to do reciprocating motion inside guide plate hole; then intermediate tie rod installed on crosshead is connected to piston rod and drive piston to do reciprocating motion.
