This year in 3rd grade your child will hopefully develop a love of reading. We will read EVERY DAY using Readers Workshop!! Strategies for reading will be taught using "just right books" chosen by your child. Other topics of study will be :

NJ History Resources- This site contains many links to informational sites about the rich history of New Jersey.

Kids' Page - New Jersey Legislature's site for kids contains information about the state legislature, how laws are made, and the state symbols including the state seal and state flag. There are also several puzzle pages with mazes, word searches, and coloring pages.

Lenape Indians - Web site for the Delaware Tribe of Indians, once known as the Lenape. Find interesting facts, illustrations, and even photographs of what New Jersey's Native Americans were like.
