Chris and Dawn left for a 4050 mile, 10-day journey in late September, 2013.
First stop: Skokie Illinois. The sandwich and Old Style are at our favorite bar, The Village Inn. We watched the Cubs lose.
Second stop: Minnesota. We visited Chris' friend Aaron in St. Paul, then had dinner with Chris' high school friend Ron and his wife, Diane.
Third stop: Sioux Falls, ID. We walked around the falls and had lunch with Chris' friends David and Jacque.
Fourth stop: Rapid City, SD. We visited the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore and the Black Hills over three days.

Our plan to visit the Custer battlefield was cancelled due to the government shutdown. We visited Fort Phil Kearney, the town of Buffalo, WY, and the Black Hills Nat'l Cemetery instead. Here is Dawn in front of the Occidental Hotel in Buffalo, WY.

Stop five: Denver, CO. We visited with Chris' parents Dean and Jay, his Aunt Diane, and his cousin Dave and family. The next day we visited with our best man, Derek, his wife Jami, and their three boys and little girl. Here we are trying to pose as we did back in 1987.
Stop Six: Kansas City. We visited for two nights with friends Mike and Donna. Here is Dawn with their dog Zoye.
