About Us

Jenny Magistro:

Hi my name is Jenny Magistro. I grew up in a small town, Bridgeport OH, right along the Ohio River. I graduated from Ohio University in 2001 and received my Master's degree from Marygrove College. This is my 17th year teaching 4th grade in Pickerington. I have two children of my own. My daughter, Tommie, is a junior in high school and my son, Jackson, is in the 7^thgrade. I am so excited to work with you and your children this year. I absolutely love my job and I feel so blessed to be here at Violet and do what I love to do everyday.

Kevin Topy:

I was born in Columbus and have lived in this area most of my life. The only time I haven't lived in the area was the 4 years I spend at Miami University for my undergraduate degree. I graduated from Miami University in 1997 and I then returned to the area and subbed for a year before my first full-time teaching job. I taught in South-Western City Schools for 3 years in 3rd and 4th grades. I was hired in Pickerington and I began teaching 4th grade at Violet in the fall of 2001. I then earned my master's degree from Ashland University in the summer of 2006. Soon after, in the fall, I was blessed with my son, Drew. Drew is now almost 12. He's in 7th grade this year at Northridge Middle School and loves school (he is his father's son!). This past summer I was also married so my small family of two increased to a family of 5 with the addition of my wife, Melissa, and my two bonus sons, Shane and Adam. Shane is a sophomore attending the Licking County vocational school studying electricity and Adam is a freshman at Licking Valley High School. I'm beginning my 19th year at Violet and am so excited to meet your families and get to know your kids. I'm honored for the short time that I get to spend with each one of them.
