To access the personal math trainer:
1. Click the link I have provided in the homework section (It will look like this: 3.1 Interactive Student Edition) then skip to step 3,
OR
log in to your personal username and password for the online textbook.
2. If you logged in to your own account, in the Interactive Student Edition find our current unit and module and lesson. This should pop up a new window.
3. This new window should have 5 dots on the bottom, Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, and Red. The green blue and purple walk you through the examples we cover in class. The orange are the Your Turn type questions. The Red dot is the Personal Math Trainer that we want to use. If you do not want to go through the examples again, click the red dot
4. Click the whistle, it will bring you to the Personal Math Trainer.
Resources on the Personal Math Trainer:
On the right side of the PMT, there is a list of available resources.
View Example: This brings you to a completely worked out example of the type of question you are currently looking at.
Step-by-Step: This guides you step by step on how to solve the current question.
Video Tutor: This opens a video of Dr. Burger working through an example similar to the ones available in the PMT. There is not a video for every type of question, but most have one.
Textbook: This opens a new window that shows you where in your textbook these types of problems are found.
Animated Math: This opens a new window with an example that is animated in some fashion. There is not one for every type of question, but most have one.
Print: Prints out the current question.
