Basketball

GSV Junior Basketball (Year 7 & 8) will train on Tuesday afternoons at 3.45pm - 4.45pm at PLC with matches on Thursday afternoons

GSV Intermediate Basketball (Year 9 & 10) will train on Monday afternoons at 3.45pm - 4.45pm at PLC with matches on Wednesday afternoons

GSV Senior Basketball (Year 11 & 12) matches are on Monday and Wednesday afternoons commencing in Week 1.

VENUES:

Training:

• Junior Basketball - Tuesday 3.45pm - 4.45pm at PLC basketball courts
• Intermediate Basketball - Monday 3.45pm - 4.45pm at PLC basketball courts
• Senior Basketball - no trainings, only matches on Monday & Wednesday afternoons.
• Students are to meet the basketball coaches out on the courts
• Attendance records will be taken and are referred to for team selection and SOTY points
• Students must get changed into correct PE uniform for training
• Training commences Week 1, Term 4

Matches:

• Matches will be played at various school and community sport venues as outlined on the schedule
• Students who wish to leave from a venue must have permission from parents to do so. Please provide a note to the basketball coach

SELECTIONS:

• After the first two training sessions a squad of 36 (3 teams of 12) will be selected, for Juniors and Inters
• Students planning to trial for the squad must be at the training sessions right from the beginning of the term
• We will endeavour to organise development training sessions for girls who miss out on selection, but can only do so when we get confirmation of numbers, coach and venue availability
