Stephanie Turbett, Social Studies
Mrs. Turbett has been teaching at the Middle School of Plainville for 25 years. She resides in Wallingford with her husband, Dan; their 20-year-old son, Declan; 18-year-old daughter, Roisin; and 15-year-old son, Desmond. She has 2 dogs, Bentley and Ginger. There are also 2 cats in her home: Cleopatra and Calypso. In her spare time, Mrs. Turbett enjoys running and cheering on her children at their soccer games. Amanda Jones Language Arts & Reading
My name is Amanda Jones. I grew up in Bristol and graduated from Salve Regina University. I completed my student teaching in grades 9 and 12. Since graduated, I've worked as a longterm sub at the Middle School of Plainville in 7th grade ELA and I am super excited to continue my career here on the 6th grade team. My hobbies include cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Ashley Ciarlo, Mathematics
Miss Ciarlo has been teaching at MSP for 5 years. She previously taught 6th grade for two years in a different district before coming to Plainville. She lives in East Haven with her fiance Anthony who is a business owner of his own moving company. Ms. Ciarlo enjoys reading, going to the gym, spending time with her loved ones, and cooking! She has her undergrad from CCSU, her Master's from American College of Education, and her 6th year Degree in Leadership from Arkansas State University!
Christina Corvello, Science
Mrs. Corvello has been teaching at the Middle School of Plainville for 15 years. She lives in Plainville with her husband Michael, who is also a teacher, and their daughter Sofia. In their free time, they enjoy going to the beach, reading, woodworking, and gardening. They have three pets: Valentine, a Belgian Malinois, Arya, a cat, and Diaz, a leopard gecko! She earned her undergraduate degree from UCONN, got her teaching certificate from the ARC program, and earned her Master's Degree from the University of Saint Joseph. She loves teaching and getting students enthusiastic about science.
