Stephanie Turbett, Social Studies
Mrs. Turbett has been teaching at the Middle School of Plainville for 25 years. She resides in Wallingford with her husband, Dan; their 20-year-old son, Declan; 18-year-old daughter, Roisin; and 15-year-old son, Desmond. She has 2 dogs, Bentley and Ginger. There are also 2 cats in her home: Cleopatra and Calypso. In her spare time, Mrs. Turbett enjoys running and cheering on her children at their soccer games. Lawrence DeLucia, English Language Arts
Mr. DeLucia will be teaching for his second year at the Middle School of Plainville. Prior to joining the district, he taught 9th- and 10th-grade English in another district. He lives in North Haven with his family, his dog, Murray, and his two cats, Forrest and Winnie. In his free time, Mr. DeLucia enjoys reading, gardening, and playing video games. He earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Connecticut State University.
Kerry Craft, English Language Arts
Mrs. Craft has been teaching in Plainville for 27 years. She has taught third and fifth grade at Linden Street School. This is her first year teaching at the Middle School. Mrs. Craft lives in Farmington with her husband Tom and their child Te. Te is 19 years old and very involved in local theater. Mrs. Craft has a dog named Lady who is a black labrador and great dane mix. Mrs Craft enjoys snow skiing, reading and attending Broadway shows.
Ashley Ciarlo, Mathematics
Miss Ciarlo has been teaching at MSP for 5 years. She previously taught 6th grade for two years in a different district before coming to Plainville. She lives in East Haven with her fiance Anthony who is a business owner of his own moving company. Ms. Ciarlo enjoys reading, going to the gym, spending time with her loved ones, and cooking! She has her undergrad from CCSU, her Master's from American College of Education, and her 6th year Degree in Leadership from Arkansas State University!
Christina Corvello, Science
Mrs. Corvello has been teaching at the Middle School of Plainville for 20 years. She lives in Plainville with her husband Michael, who is also a teacher, and their daughter Sofia. In their free time, they enjoy going to the beach, reading, woodworking, and gardening. They have two pets: Zelda, a Pitbull and Arya, a cat! She earned her undergraduate degree from UCONN, got her teaching certificate from the ARC program, and earned her Master's Degree from the University of Saint Joseph. She loves teaching and getting students enthusiastic about science.
Amanda Ferrucci, School Counselor
Mrs. Ferrucci has been a dedicated school counselor for 20 years and truly loves supporting students and helping them grow. When she’s not at school, you can usually find her at home with her husband and two children. She spends plenty of time cheering on her 12-year-old son, Dominic, on the baseball field for fall ball or getting her daughter, Savannah, to and from dance class several nights a week.
Whenever she has a little free time, Mrs. Ferrucci enjoys baking, getting lost in a good book, and, most of all, spending quality time with her family. She feels incredibly lucky to have a career she loves and a family that keeps her busy, smiling, and always on the go!
