April 29th

  1. Kahoot. Form teams of 3 students. Go to Kahoot.it After entering game pin, enter an acceptable team name and put real names for team nicknames.
  2. Go to "Music Websites" tab above and find "Rhythm Trainer". Reflecting on your own musical ability, start with "Mode A" "Slow" and after you are good at that try the "Fast" Tempo. Then challenge yourself by adding the tikatika, ti tika, and tika ti rhythms to use. Super challenge (and fun too) is "Mode B"!


Flex Friday Assignment #1:

  • Music Websites tab above.
  • Find Compose Your Own Music.
  • Select Beginner or Advanced (I suggest Advanced)
  • Click on rhythms then pitches (C is a good do).
  • Complete your song, and copy your link by highlighting and pressing control C. Open Music Google Classroom, go to Flex Friday Assignment #1 (February 28th). Click on the add button that looks like a paper clip, in the box paste your link (Control V) and then turn in your assignment .

Hopefully get time to:

  • Play "Music Darts 1"
  • Practice "Note Names" if you are struggling with absolute pitch names or go back to Music Websites and explore Composers you are interested in learning about.

  • Music Websites tab above.

Go to Conduct tab and find the "Learn Right Hand Pattern" and play along. 2. Then, go to "Igor Stravinsky Lullaby from Firebird in meter of 4" to practice. 3. Find your favorite meter of 3 song and write it's name on our Google Classroom.


Flex Friday Assignment #3:

  • Music Websites tab above.
  • Compose Your Own Music
  • Click on "Play"
  • Click on the quarter note, ta. (There will be two toos or half notes in our example today.)
  • Click on "B" in the keyboard to place the note head in the first space of the music staff for mi. We will be using line notes
  • Melodic dictation for the entire song after Mrs. Pickles sings it, you sing it, and then you compose it.
  • Complete your song, and copy your link by highlighting and pressing control C. Open Music Google Classroom, go to Flex Friday Assignment #3 (green and yellow April 12, blue and red May 17th). Click on the add button that looks like a paper clip, in the box paste your link (Control V) and then turn in your assignment .
