Gifted and Talented in the State of Arkansas
Gifted students in Arkansas are defined as those of “high potential or ability, whose learning characteristics and educational needs require qualitatively differentiated educational experiences and/or services. Possession of these talents and gifts, or the potential for their development, will be evidenced through an interaction of above average intellectual ability, task commitment and/or motivation, and creative ability.”
Prairie Grove GT Program Mission
In coordination with the Arkansas Department of Education, the Gifted and Talented program at the Prairie Grove School District adheres to all standards and frameworks as identified for GT students and teachers. Moreover, the GT program at Prairie Grove offers student and teacher enrichment promoting Advancement Placement, college-preparatory programs, extracurricular activities, clubs and organizations as well as Common Core Standards.
