Brief description of club/activity: The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding junior and senior high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor well-rounded students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Character, Leadership, Scholarship and Service.
Eligibility Requirements: 3.5/4.0 cumulative G.P.A. and approval by the NHS Faculty Council based on Character, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service.
Time Commitment: Must maintain a cumulative 3.5/4.0 G.P.A., attend meetings and activities and complete 24 hours of approved community service/NHS club hours each school year.
Meets: Meetings are held during the school year at 7:45 a.m. in the Auditorium.
Yearly Dues: $5 membership Dues. Money is due at the beginning of each school year, Annual Dues will be payable to the chapter within 30 days of induction.. (This is not an activity fee/ NHS is not required to pay an activity fee) Yearly dues are determined by how much money was raised the previous year to continue induction and membership costs, and membership t-shirts.
