THURSDAY: (FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL)
OBJECTIVE: Students will review procedures and expectations for Mr. Stewart's Science class.
ACTIVITY: (Note to parents) Students will receive items regarding my 6th Grade Class. There is a sign off form that must be returned by (9-2-22). It states that parents, guardians, & students have read and understand my classroom procedures. This should be done digitally on Google Classroom.
HOMEWORK: Science Sign-Off slips. (Done digitally on Google Classroom.)

FRIDAY:
OBJECTIVE: Students will review all emergency procedures for fire drill, severe weather, and school emergency. I will also be introducing online materials that will helps students be successful in my class.
ACTIVITY: Review all emergency procedures. Begin introduction of the online materials for Science. Also, students will review components and helpful items found on my website.
HOMEWORK: Sign off sheets due 9-2-22.

MONDAY:
OBJECTIVE: Students will apply the 6 steps of Scientific Inquiry in an experiment using an "Obscertainer." (Today our focus will be on the first three steps.)
1. Question
2. Create a Hypothesis
3. Design an Experiment
ACTIVITY: Students will complete "Obscertainer” activity/experiment using scientific inquiry.
HW: NO HOMEWORK
TUESDAY:
OBJECTIVE: Students will use steps in Scientific Inquiry to report findings for our OBSCERTAINER activity. (We started this lab on Monday.)
ACTIVITY:
We will review and finish the "Obscertainer" activity from Monday. Students will analyze the results of the activity and write a brief summary.
HOMEWORK:
Students should complete summary questions 1-5 on GOOGLE CLASSROOM for homework. This will be done on Google Classroom. It will be due tomorrow - worth 5 points.
WEDNESDAY:
LESSON OBJECTIVE: Students will use steps in Scientific Inquiry to report findings for our OBSCERTAINER activity. (We started this lab on Monday.)
ACTIVITY:
We will review and finish the "Obscertainer" activity. Students will analyze the results of the activity and write a brief summary.

HOMEWORK:
Students should complete summary questions 1-5 on GOOGLE CLASSROOM for homework. This will be done on Google Classroom. It will be due tomorrow - worth 5 points.
THURSDAY:
Students will review OBSCERTAINER LAB from Wednesday. (If necessary)
OBJECTIVE: Students will describe the 6 stages of Scientific Inquiry.
ACTIVITY: Students will "partner" read document on the steps to Scientific Inquiry. They will set up important details in their FOLDABLE. Foldables are sometime used to takes notes in science class.
I will show a brief 3-minute video reviewing the stages of Scientific Inquiry.
HOMEWORK: If behind on parts of foldable notes, please complete some at home.
FRIDAY:
