Association of Environmental Science Students

Starting spring term, AESS will hold seminars and socials every Tuesday from 11:00-12:00pm in person in the ESM Student Study Lounge (SRTC B1-11). The events are all open to the public and free of charge. If you are interested in presenting, attending or have any other questions, please contact one of the AESS officers (Grace Hall and Monica Zapata) or fill out the presentation submission form below.

The ESM department and the Association of Environmental Science Students (AESS) is pleased to continue the ESM Friday Science seminar. The purpose of this seminar is to provide a casual platform for the presentation of current research and new ideas. We hope that this will continue to be a valuable opportunity to present your work and to gain feedback from folks outside your lab and outside your area of study. We encourage everything from half-baked ideas that can benefit from an informal conversation to fully polished presentations on all subjects within environmental science.

Want to Present at an AESS seminar?

The Association of Environmental Science Students hosts weekly meetings for students (undergraduate and graduate) or organizations to present research, community projects, volunteer opportunities, and ESM related experiences. We have hour long seminar sessions or socials every other Monday. The seminars allow for a 40-45 minute presentation with time for questions. The socials will allow space for a 10-15 minute casual presentation along with time for conversation.

If you are interested in presenting please fill out the form below and AESS will get in touch.
