As scholarships come out, they will be posted here (see below attachments). There are some sites, such as Fastweb that allow you to search for scholarships on your own. Searching will take a lot of time, so try to narrow it down to things that are specific to you (see handout). As local scholarship information becomes available, due dates will be posted as well, but it is up to you to check the websites, the requirements, and due dates. If you are applying to colleges, be sure to ask them what scholarships and financial aid options they offer. Many colleges have scholarships that are available to students coming to their school - so ask. Again, the resource below is a great place to start - Good luck!
Below (at the bottom of this page) is a file for the California State retirees Scholarship for seniors.
There are two important things to do for financial aid and scholarships - The FAFSA and the Cal Grant GPA form:
The FAFSA is a government database that colleges and universities access to find out the financial need of their students. It will be available on-line Oct. 1st and must be completed and submitted by each student no later than March 2nd. The earlier students fill this out and submit, the better. The FAFSA is a collection point of basic family financial information. Please plan to attend our Financial Aid night in the Fall for assistance with this process.
The Cal Grant GPA Verification form has been a part of senior parent night, and it must be signed in order for us to release information. You will be contacted if you have not signed the release. For more information, visit the sites below -

Service Above Self
Dear Community Member,
The Rotary Club of Greenville wants to help as many graduates from Indian Valley high schools as possible to get the training they need to contribute to their community in the future. We also want to provide an easy, tax-deductible way for community members to help with that effort. With those goals in mind, we are pleased to announce that the Club will be presenting multiple scholarships to graduates who plan to pursue an academic or vocational education. Accredited four-year universities or two-year community colleges will qualify, and so do accredited vocational schools where students may pursue such fields as lineman, nursing, welding and culinary arts.
The highest award will be a Distinguished Student Renewable Scholarship for one graduate in the amount of $1,000 per year for up to four years.
The next level will be one-year Distinguished Student Scholarships for graduates in the amount of $500 or $1,000. Your donation will help support as many of these qualified graduates as possible.
Finally, we will present one Alumni Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a previous graduate of an Indian Valley high school who is either continuing his or her education or is going back to school to pursue an academic or vocational education. There is no age limit for this scholarship.
In our effort to support as many qualified students as possible, the Greenville Rotary Club is collecting tax deductible donations in any amount. Any administrative or ancillary costs will be borne by the Greenville Rotary Club so that the full amount of all donations will go to students. As of January 6, 2021, we already have $13,000 pledged to the Rotary Foundation Scholarship Fund. If you would like to help support this effort, you can send your tax-deductible donation to the Greenville Rotary Foundation Scholarship Fund at P.O. Box 207, Greenville, CA 95947. For further information, please contact Travis Rubke at 530-284-6473 or rubke@frontiernet.net or Kest Porter at 530-616-0226 or kestporter@gmail.com.
