Creative Commons is an international non-profit organisation that provides free licences and tools that copyright owners can use to allow others to share, reuse and remis their material, legally. Releasing material under a CC licence makes it clear to users what they can or cannot do with the material. There are six standardised CC licences and each allow material to be used in a different way.

In Google, go into Images, type in your search term, enter, and click on the COG icon on the right. Click on Advanced Search and scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Look at usage rights in the left column, and make a selection from the column on its right. Click on Advanced Search.
