SO YOU WANT TO AUDITION FOR THE SPRING MUSICAL . . .


STEP ONE: ASK YOUR PARENTS/GUARDIANS FOR PERMISSION TO AUDITION. 

Being in a theatrical production is a huge commitment. You will need your parent/guardian’s support, ability to provide transportation, and signature on your audition form.


STEP TWO: Review the audition materials BELOW.  


STEP THREE: SIGN UP FOR AN AUDITION TIME USING THE SIGN-UP GENIUS.

There are two audition times available –

Monday, December 11 2:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday, December 13 2:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

You must attend the full two-hour audition. If you sign-up and change your mind, please remove your name from the Sign-Up Genius to free-up spots for other students.

STEP FOUR: PREPARE FOR YOUR AUDITION


MONOLOGUE - Choose a monologue from the Monologues PDF file. Practice performing your monologue. 

**Monologues must be performed from memory at auditions (no paper on stage).


SONG - Learn to sing the section of “Break This Down” using the vocal practice track and sheet music PDF file. Practice singing the section of the song with the accompaniment track.

**The song must be performed with the accompaniment track from memory at auditions (no paper on stage).



STEP FIVE: FILL OUT THE AUDITION FORM AND BRING IT TO YOUR SCHEDULED AUDITION.

List all of your relevant experience and complete the two sections listing your conflicts. Make sure to have your parent/guardian complete the parent contact information section and sign the form.



STEP SIX: ATTEND AUDITIONS - BE ON TIME, AND DO YOUR BEST!

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can dance in to your audition.

CALLBACKS: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15   2:45-6:00 p.m.

After the initial round of auditions, we will need to see certain students again to audition for specific character roles. Please be prepared to attend all three hours of callbacks.

CALLBACK List will be posted on the webpage on Wednesday, Dec. 13th at 7:00 p.m.

Not receiving an invitation to callbacks does not mean you did not make the cast, nor does it mean that you are guaranteed a spot in the cast. 


CAST LIST will be posted on the webpage on Saturday, Dec. 16th at 8:00 a.m.

**Tips for Making a Good Impression**

Arrive on time with all the proper paperwork.

Listen attentively and follow all directions.

Speak loudly and clearly.

Try to make eye contact as you audition.

Be energetic and portray as much “character” as you can!

Mal

Our hero and Maleficent’s daughter. Under her hardened, sarcastic exterior, she has a sense of justice and a heart of gold.
