Ms. Sanderson became a teacher because she had such a great Agriculture Education experience at Sumner High School. She hopes to be able to give that experience to her students as well.
Ms. Sanderson is very involved at Onalaska High School. She is the FFA Advisor and Pep Club Advisor. She has coached both Volleyball and Softball. She has also been the scoreboard operator for Volleyball and Basketball and currently is the bookkeeper for the Boy's Basketball team. She also is the Onalaska Football Booster Treasurer.
Outside our community, Ms. Sanderson has become certified to teach 3 Curriculum in Agricultural Science Education courses: Animal Science, Plant Science, and Natural Resources.
Ms. Sanderson is also a member of the National Association of Agriculture Educators, the National Science Teachers Association, Washington Association of Career and Technical Educators, National Association of Career and Technical Educators, and is an officer for the Washington Association of Agricultural Educators.
Ms. Sanderson attended Washington State University and received both a
Bachelors of Science and a Maters of Science in Agriculture, with a Minor in Soil and Crop Science.
She is a very big Cougar fan, especially of Cougar Football. She is a season ticket holder and travels to one away-game a year. She has seen the Cougs play at Cal, Utah, Arizona State, Oregon State, and Colorado. Her bucket list includes seeing the Cougs play in all the Pac-12 Stadiums!
When Ms. Sanderson isn't working or watching the Cougs play, she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She is a daughter, sister, dog-mom, and her favorite role- Aunt. She has 4 nephews and a niece.
Her dog, Magnolia Mae, is a rescue from Texas. She is an energetic Labahoula who loves to play fetch, chew on her toys aggressively, naps and bark at every cat and squirrel she sees.
