Start planning now to experience this beautiful, rare home for whatever brings you to Olympia.  If you are new to Olympia, you will enjoy this information for fun in Olympia and Washington State Local Fun.

Enjoy your daily walk around private Walnut Park neighborhood—Walnut Loop has no through traffic or streets which makes for a very safe and quiet walk no matter the time of day.  Beyond Walnut Park, you can walk to a variety of neighborhood eateries, pubs, grocery stores, retail shops and even Capitol Mall—all within two miles. Venturing a bit further, walking downhill, brings you to lovely West Bay Park on the water with expansive views of Budd Inlet and the Olympic Mountains. Continuing another half-mile or so takes you across 4th Avenue Bridge (where you can see the Chinook salmon run every fall) to downtown Olympia with its eclectic charm, boardwalk with art sculptures (the Kissing Couple is a favorite), play grounds, Capitol Lake (an easy paved walk around) where many fun festivals happen (including popular LakeFair every July) and, of course, the Capitol Campus (where the “action” is). The local secret is to

walk downhill as far as you like to explore, enjoy, people watch, grab a bite, and then take the free (and frequent) Intercity Transit Bus back home. There are two close bus stops, each about ¼ mile from The Castle: one on Cooper Point Rd at Walnut Rd, the other on Division St at Walnut Rd .

We are so proud of this testimonial from a family that stayed in the Castle on Walnut Loop for several months while searching for a home to buy:

"Our family has been staying in the lovely Castle on Walnut Loop since last summer. The house is spotless, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we could need. (The towels are amazing!) The neighborhood is well-kept, friendly, quiet, and safe, and the garden is just beautiful, with a small, but private, backyard. The landlady has been thoughtful, flexible, and supportive of our family's needs since before our arrival. We've been so glad that we found the Castle, and when it's time to move on, we expect to remember our time here fondly."
