Cold Weather- As colder weather has reached our region, please remind your student(s) to bring a warm coat and dress appropriately for the weather. Please put names inside the coats/jackets. The district has many winter coats, hats, and gloves available for students in need. Please contact the OGS office or the OJSHS office if you would like any of these items for your student(s). If you have a student driving, please caution and coach them on the dangers of driving during icy conditions.
Snow Days- The weather is always a concern this time of year. The current plan is still ‘no school’ if we have a snow day(s). Please keep in mind the following school closing procedures. You will receive an all-call and text from our phone system as soon as the decision to cancel school has been made. We will also post any closings on our social media pages.
Construction- Our east field track and field updates are mostly complete. We now need to allow time for our grass to grow. Please stay off the grounds until our grass is ready for foot traffic. Thanks for your cooperation.
High School Geometry class joined First Grade today for math. First Grade is working on 3D shapes and their vertices, faces, and edges. They made shapes using marshmallows, toothpicks, and pipe cleaners. OHS Geometry is also working on 3D shapes, but studying their cross-sections and area.
The Geometry students learned a lot from the first grade. It brought back memories from when they were in First Grade.
