Color Guard

The Color Guard is part of the Marching Band that helps tell the story of the show. We add color, effect, drama, and emotion using a combination of flags, rifles, sabers, and other equipment as well dance and interpretive movement. We participate in all events involving the Marching Band and provide a different visual element (6' flags, swing flags and rifles) than the Majorettes (batons, hoops, etc.) and Oakettes (dance). The 3 organizations add a comprehensive visual package to the Marching Band for Games & Parades, and the AE Color Guard performs with the Marching Band for competitions on Saturdays throughout the fall.
