Distance Learning Resources

I know this new way of learning is unknown and comes with many questions. I want to support you and your child's learning as much as possible while they are home to keep them progressing just as they would if they were still in the school building with me. All students are expected to participate in distance learning each week we are closed via Google Classroom. Students must use their Odyssey email accounts in order to access content. If you need the email/password please email me ASAP!

Here are some additional links and resources that will be utilized by your child while they are home to keep up with their academic progress. Some sites require student logins which were provided to your child before leaving school. If you need this information again please send me a private email at mfoley@odysseyschool.org and I can resend this information to you.

I do not have access to my school phone/voicemail during closure. Please email me for any tech help!

  • Epic! Books for Kids: www.getepic.com Our class code is: mrr4357. In our classroom we frequently read texts and listen to audiobooks on Epic. All parents have received an email to the primary email provided on Powerschool to sign up their child for home access for FREE to Epic.

  • Zearn: www.zearn.org This will be the primary way we track student math work. Zearn aligns completly with our Eureka math curriculum and students are setup to begin at the lesson we left off on in school. These will be assigned weekly and we ask students to not get ahead of that week's assigned math lessons in order to stay with class instruction. Zearn provides guidance and assistance to students when they answer incorrectly and has videos to help provide additional instruction when students face challenges with problems.
