Homework

  • Homework is used as a reinforcement of concepts being learned in class and/or for additional practice. Evaluation will be based on what your child does during school hours.

Your child should continue to read on a nightly basis. After they have read, ask them questions to ensure they are comprehending what it is they are reading.

Here are some sample questions you may ask your child...

*What do you think is going to happen next?

*What does the book remind you of?

*Does this book remind you of another book?

*What do you know about the book's topic?

*About an event in the story: Has that ever happened to you?

*What has happened in the story so far?

*Are you surprised about what happened in the story?
