My name is Cynthia Belliveau. I am a graduate from Carleton University (Double Honours, Bachelor of Art History and Classical Studies), University of Toronto (Masters of Art History) and Ottawa University (Bachelor of Education).  This is my fifteenth year teaching with the Ottawa Catholic School Board and have taught both English and French classrooms.  I feel very fortunate to be part of Blessed Carlo Virtual School.  I have been teaching virtually for over three years now.  I am a proud recipient of the Director of Education Commendation Award in 2023 for my contributions to virtual education.

I have been married for 26 years to my dearest friend and have two fantastic kids.

My son Alexandre, age 22, is studying languages and education at the University of Ottawa.  My daughter Samantha, age 20, is working.  We have a sweet old dog named Eddie, a crazy Corgi named Nikki and a bunny named  Bryan that love to hang out with the family!

I continue to practice a strong Catholic faith as an active member of my parish and the Catholic Women’s League.  I was taught to respect and accept all cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds, to help others at all times and to be enthusiastic about what I believe in. I was raised in an environment that fueled my desire to learn and expand my mind within the structure of Catholic morals, beliefs and values.  I have a keen interest in the spiritual development of children since they are the future of our families, parish and community.

I LOVE being a teacher. I have a great love for children and a passion for teaching, and am honoured to be able to share those things! My goal is to create an all-inclusive environment where every child can see themselves as an integral part of the classroom.  I promise to infuse my love of languages, the arts and technology into the learning environment.  I look forward to what each child will bring.   I believe that the teacher, the student, and the parents are all on the same team working toward the common goal of student achievement- Together we can achieve anything!
