More and more devices use batteries. Even car these days use batteries. Odds are that you will be driving a fully electric car by the time you're old enough to purchase your first brand new vehicle. With this popularity and demand on batteries it comes to question, what do we really know about them?

Please answer each of the following questions in a three paragraph form (intro, info, conclusion)

1. Battery capacity is rated in either milliamp-hour (mAh), Watt-hour (Wh) or even Kilowatt-hour (kWh). To find the answer to this question, you will need to do a little research about your own phone. Every phone has a battery, find out the size and output of battery you have. Then calculate the cost for charging your phone from a completely depleted battery for a full year. We will use a standard 10 cents per kWh as a standard fee.

2. Over time batteries have been generated using a variety of products. These days, the best batteries are the Lithium Hydride batteries. Why are these batteries so much better than the traditional Nickel Metal Hydride?

3. Now that you know more about batteries and the fact that we have so many of them (remember, cars will all have batteries all capable of producing in the range of 18 to 100 kWh of energy), how bad (or good) is this for the environment and what can we do to protect it?
