Summative

For your summative, you are expected to write (compose) an original piece of music.

You may write in any style, and may use text (lyrics), if you wish.

Your work may be absolute (no extra-musical association) or programmatic -- in other words, it can represent an image, scene, idea, character(s), or a combination of these. Think of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, which are four violin concerti based on the four specific times of year (each season is based on an Italian sonnet).

Don't forget to name your composition. Be creative.
