Your interview will be conducted virtually.

Please bookmark this page and have it accessible during the interview.

To have a good interview experience, you must:

- - Submit required documents (listed below) at least 48 hours before the interview.
    Your interview will have to be cancelled if the documents are not received by then.
  - Be Zoom-ready.
  - Be punctual.
  - Have the required devices.
  - Have a document-editing software.
  - Be ready to take notes.
  - Watch our infosession video.
  - Know what will happen on interview day.

Details follow below. Please read all the information carefully.

Required Documents

TO AVOID DISQUALIFICATION, SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS AT LEAST 48 HOURS BEFORE THE INTERVIEW

Submit the documents listed below using the 'DOCUMENT SUBMISSION FORM'. A link to the form was included in your reservation confirmation email.
Each document must be correctly named, in the following format "LastName_Last4 digits of CASPA ID _document title" (for example: Smith_6889_Driver's License, or Jones_1368_CV).
Do not email any of the documents.
Late documents may not be included in the folder used by your interviewer, and may result in a disqualification of the application.

The documents are as follows:

- - Technical Standards agreement
    Please download, initial on each page and sign & date on the last page, and submit as one PDF document containing all pages. The PDF is fillable.

  - Curriculum vitae (CV) or resume
    The document must be up-to-date.
  - Passport-style photo (see example)
    This may taken using your phone camera and doesn't have to be professionally done.
  - Government issued photo ID
    Such as a driver's license or passport. A scan in either PDF or .jpeg/.jpg/.png formats are acceptable. You may also be asked to show the ID during your interview.
  - Optional
    If you would like any other additional documents to be included in your interview evaluation (including additional letters of recommendation, documents indicating recently completed patient contact experience, etc.). All letters should be on a letterhead.

Additional Documents

The following do not have to be submitted before your interview. However, if not received prior to being accepted, your acceptance will be conditional, The condition must be removed prior being to being allowed to matriculate, so be sure to be proactive in following up with the submission.

Patient Contact Experience Verification Letter.

This may be sent after the interview but will be required for admission. Please see this page for instructions on the required content and how to submit. One letter (or more) adding up to at least the minimum required 250 hours is sufficient.

Pending Coursework

If your CASPA application listed pending graduation or coursework or your degree wasn't verified by CASPA, please order an official electronic transcript to be sent to paadmissions@nyit.edu. Please do this only after the grade and/or degree completion date has been posted.

Zoom

The interview will be conducted remotely via Zoom. The login instructions should have been provided in your interview reservation confirmation email. If you have not received a confirmation email, please check your Spam folder, and designate the email and sender as "not spam".

IMPORTANT: Download the Zoom app on your computer. Candidates using the web version have encountered some issues when transferring into breakout rooms.

When ready to log in, open up the app, click on the Join button and enter the login ID and password.

Please find a quiet location where you can be alone in a room.

Start time

All interviews times are based on the Eastern Time Zone. Here is a time zone converter, to see what the equivalent would be in your area

For your interview time, please refer to your interview confirmation email. You will be able to join the meeting prior to the start time.

Required for the meeting:

Two devices with a camera & mic

- A computer or laptop with a functioning camera and microphone, for the Zoom interview
- Just in case, a secondary device, also with a functioning camera (such as a phone or a tablet)
- The Zoom app must be installed on both devices.

Document editing application for the essay component

- During the Zoom session, we will provide you with an essay question, which you will be asked to complete on-camera during the interview process. Acceptable editing platforms include MS Word and Google Docs, which must be set to a letter-sized page. You will not be sending this document - it is merely a tool for editing and measuring the size of your essay. Further instructions will be provided on how to submit.

Other items

- 2 pens
- A notepad

These are needed for taking down important information that may be provided during the interview.

After the interview

Final acceptance into the program will depend on the results of the final evaluation process, as well as completion of all pending requirements before September 2025.

Prerequisites are listed in Admission Requirements. You have also been informed of your pending requirements in your interview invitation email.

The 'Document Submission Form' must be used if submitting documents (other than transcripts or PCE verifications) after the interview. See the above section titled 'Submit Documents' for further information.

We will make our best effort to email you of the following status updates within two weeks of your interview:

Admit (only a few will receive an Admit at the early stages of the interview phase)
Hold for Decision or Waitlist (A "Hold" would be because most final decisions can only be made after all interviews are completed. "Waitlist" would be because all seats have been filled.)
Deny
