Want to be an SRHS Cheerleader?

Below are the skill requirements that will be judged at tryouts

All skills must be shown at tryouts to make the Shadow Ridge High School Cheer Team.

Tryouts are every year in April. Look at our Cheer Calendar for details on specific times and dates.   

All skills listed are required. Preferred Skills is not a requirement. **Required for Competition Team.

Teams do not have to be filled to their listed capacity. Teams are built by the stunt groups that can be formed. 

Teams will be formed as follows: 1) Varsity, 2) Junior Varsity, 3) Freshman

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A Shadow Ridge CHEERLEADER

1. Currently, have and maintain a 2.25 GPA, have no F’s on any report card (1st Quarter, 2nd Quarter, 3rd Quarter, & 4th Quarter), and must not have any F’s or U’s on any weekly eligibility check according to CCSD and NIAA policy. Quarter and semester grades will be checked throughout the season. 

   1. Citizenship marks, specifically N's and U's, on report cards will be looked at closely and could be a determining factor for making the cheer team. Citizenship marks, N's, and U's will be looked at on a case-by-case basis depending on the school's citizenship rubric. 

2. No unpaid banking fees: Signed approval from school banker

3. Signed approval from behavior/discipline office principal

4. Mandatory Tryout Packet, given at Mandatory meeting

Tryouts occur every year in April

2. Be on the lookout for the Mandatory Parent/Athlete Meeting that occurs the First Week of March

3. Applications for the team Open Mid March and Close First Week of April

4. 2026-2027 Cheer Tryouts are CLOSED
