Floristic inventory and plant diversity assessment of Bolaven Plateau, southern Laos

Bolaven Plateau is located in the south of Laos: mostly in Champasack Province, extending to Saravan, Xekong, and Attapeu Provinces, it covers approximately 4,800 km2. The top area is almost flat, at 1,000–1,400 m above sea level, and the climate there is moist and cool all year round. The edges of the plateau are protected mainly for biodiversity conservation at the national level (Dong Hua Sao NPA) or at the district level.

The aim of the studies is to elucidate the plant species diversity of Bolaven Plateau in southern Laos by collecting all the species found in the areas.
