- Social Studies will support Reading Comprehension and Argumentative Writing by analyzing, interpreting, and reflecting upon Informational Text
- 6th Grade concepts:
- Conflict leads to CHANGE
- Conflict shapes PERSPECTIVE
- Conflict creates (and arises from) CHOICE
- Conflict shapes IDENTITY
- 8th Grade concepts:
- Conflict creates and suppresses POWER
- Conflict influences CONTROL
- CONFORMITY and RESISTANCE are responses to conflict
- Without conflict, there is no CHANGE
