All CNS students, including seniors, will have their portraits taken for school use. These same portraits can also be used in the yearbook—free of charge—if taken by Upstate Images, our school photographer.
Upstate Images is coming to CNS October 20 - 23 to take senior portraits during their English classes.
If you plan to use an outside photographer, other than Upstate Images, please review the following carefully. Seniors who wish to submit a portrait from an outside photographer must do so by October 3, 2025. If no portrait is submitted by that date, the photo taken by Upstate Images will automatically be used in the yearbook.
No late submissions can be accepted.
Outside Photographer Requirements (please share these with your photographer if you are not using Upstate Images):
● The size of the submitted photograph should be 2 inches across by 2 ¾ inches tall
● Portraits must be in color and be cropped with a traditional head-and-shoulder pose
Head size (front top of head to chin) should be approximately 1.5 inches.
● Standard blue/grey background (no backlighting or effects)
● No props, hats, or pets in the photos
● No hands on the face or other awkward or unusual poses
● White, black and solid flat color backgrounds are discouraged
● No vignetting, backlighting, or other special effects
● No photos from cell phones and no candid photos
● High-resolution .jpg format at 300 dpi
● File name format: LastName_FirstName (example: Doe_John)
Sorry if these seem really strict, however the majority of the portraits will be from Upstate Images and the senor portrait section will look best if all the portraits are as cohesive as possible.
SUBMITTING YOUR SENIOR PORTRAIT
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR PORTRAIT IF TAKEN BY A PHOTOGRAPHER OTHER THAN UPSTATE IMAGES
Submit your senior portrait here:
https://www.dropbox.com/request/9CAFxgl85STiASOe7jUR
or scan the following code.
Be sure that the .jpg file name is named exactly as stated above. It is up to the senior to make sure their photographer is aware of the importance of the file name if their photographer is the one submitting the portrait.
*** Upstate Images will take care of submitting all portraits they take. ***
Students who did not attend a summer session or scheduled a studio appointment will be photographed during the in-school session OCTOBER 20 - 23, and will sign up through their English class.
Thank you for helping us create a memorable yearbook for the Class of 2026!
Sincerely,
