Each year our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students get the opportunity to attend the Children's Literature Festival at Truman State University. Our PTO generously covers the admission cost for each child. Each class meets and listens to three different authors and/or illustrators talk about how they started writing, where they get their ideas, what students can do to become authors and illustrators, and extra information about some of the their books. Students are also able to have their books signed at the festival.
