PURPOSE:
To recognize and reward high achievement in the business education classroom
To promote the continuity of interest in and enthusiasm for the study of business
To stimulate achievement, interest, and enthusiasm for business in other students
QUALIFICATIONS:
Students Must:
I. Submit a completed application which includes the following:
A record of business courses
A personal statement about why they should be considered for admission
Future Plans in Business Education
II. Complete a minimum of full-year and one half-year business course or equivalent by the end of junior year and currently enrolled in a business course during senior year.
III. Attain a 3.5 cumulative year-end average for all above-mentioned courses and maintain that average during the junior and senior years.
IV. Complete 5 hours of service in the Business Department during junior or senior year.
Examples of Service include:
Computer lab assistant for Period 9 lab
Individualized projects
Assist with the AARP Tax-Aide Program
Assisting at the bookstore concession during football games, open school night, and parent-teacher conferences
Working in the bookstore during lunch periods and Study Hall
