Calling all photographers! Celebrate the beauty of Polzeath and the surrounding area with our photo competition. Show off your skills in eleven categories, from stunning landscapes to captivating wildlife and beautiful buildings!

Take amazing photos within 10 miles of Polzeath (captured in 2024).
Post your photo directly on our page in a post comment and add the category, title, location, and date taken (optional: photographer info) OR send it in a message to the page and we will share it for you.

Sunrise/Sunset Spectacle: Capture the breathtaking sunrises or sunsets.

Beautiful Buildings: Capture the architectural gems of Polzeath and the surrounding area.
Junior Snappers (under 16): A special category for our budding young photographers!
Polzeath Photography Competition: Full Rules and Regulations
1. Eligibility:
This competition is open to everyone, regardless of age or location.
Employees of Tubestation and their immediate families are not excluded from winning prizes.
2. Competition Period:
The competition finishes on the day of the Summer Fete at the Tubestation May 18th 4 pm
3. Entry Process:
Entries must be submitted electronically via the "Polzeath Photo Comp 2024" Facebook page. Participants can submit up to three (3) photos by posting them directly on the page. Each photo must be accompanied by a caption containing the required information (see section 5 below). If you don't have Facebook you can either submit through someone who does or email the photo and information to photo@northcornwallcoastpathwalks.co.uk and keep file below 5MB
By entering the competition, participants agree to these rules and regulations.
4. Photo Requirements:
Photos must be taken within 10 miles of Polzeath, UK.
Photos must be captured in 2024 only.
Photos must be submitted a format that Facebook can publish.
Photos with excessive editing or manipulation will be disqualified.
Basic edits such as adjustments to brightness, contrast, and color are allowed.
5. Submission Information:
Each photo submission must include the following information in the caption:
Category: Select the category that best fits your photo (refer to list in main competition announcement).
Title: Give your photo a catchy title.
Place Taken: Specify the location within 10 miles of Polzeath.
Date Taken: Photos must be taken in 2024.
(Optional) Photographer Info: If comfortable, include your name, age (if under 16), or a pseudonym.
6. Judging and Prizes:
Photos will be judged by a panel selected by Tubestation based on originality, creativity, composition, and adherence to the theme of the chosen category.
Winners will be announced on the "Polzeath Photo Comp 2024" Facebook page.
Prizes for each category will be awarded by Tubestation. Details on prizes will be announced on the Facebook page.
7. Copyright and Usage:
By entering the competition, participants grant Tubestation a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use their submitted photos for promotional purposes related to the competition and the Tubestation Summer Fete. This may include use on social media, websites, and printed materials.
Participants retain copyright of their photos.
8. Privacy:
Tubestation will collect and use personal information submitted by participants only for the purposes of administering the competition and will not share this information with any third party without consent.

9. Disclaimer:
Tubestation reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with these rules or regulations, or that are deemed inappropriate.
Tubestation is not responsible for any technical difficulties or malfunctions that may prevent entries from being submitted.

We're thrilled to see so much interest in capturing the beauty of Polzeath through your lens! To ensure a smooth submission process, we're using private messages for photo entries this year.
Here's how to submit your photo:
Head to Message on our FB page : Click on the "Message" icon on our Facebook page (it looks like a speech bubble).
Start a New Message: Click on "New Message" and type "Polzeath Photo Comp Entry" in the message box.
Attach Your Photo: Click the paperclip icon and select the photo you'd like to submit from your device.
Include Photo Details: In the message body, please include the following information about your photo:
Category: (we have given you 10)
Title of the Photo: Give your photo a catchy title!
Location Taken: Where in Polzeath or the surrounding 10-mile area was the photo captured?
Date Taken: When did you capture this stunning image? (Must be taken in 2024)
(Optional) Photographer Info: If you'd like to be credited, include your name (age if under 16) or pseudonym.
Send Your Message: Once you've attached your photo and included the details, hit "Send"!
Important Tips:
Make sure your photo file size is under 5MB for smooth uploading.
Double-check all the information you've included about your photo.
