The National Conservation Planning Partnership (NCPP) is relying on input from producers across the country as it continues its efforts to reinvigorate conservation planning.

We are conducting the survey to obtain feedback on additional ways to strengthen the value of a conservation plan and to improve the delivery of conservation planning assistance to farmers, ranchers and forest landowners. This survey was developed to expand on the feedback that we heard in our previous employee and customer listening sessions in 2018 and 2019. As a result of those sessions, hundreds of suggestions were received and recorded and have been moved forward to improve the conservation planning experience for our valued customers.

To help with this effort, we are asking Regional Directors, to share the survey with states in your area. We know that partners in the field have the greatest relationship with cooperators and can reach our intended audience. We would appreciate it if you could share the attached letter and survey link through direct contact, social media, or in your agency’s newsletter. There are two letters attached; one that you can use to share information with your Region (Partner Letter) and a second that can be shared with producers.

All responses will be CONFIDENTIAL, and all background information will be used for statistical purposes only. Results of this survey will be available in May 2021 on the NCPP website: https://www.nationalconservationplanningpartnership.com. Thank you in advance for completing the survey.

One of the main goals of NMCDE is to promote training opportunities and professional development for District employees. At the 2014 Annual Meeting, the membership voted to use NMCDE profits from dues to use for a training stipend available to all members. If your District does not have the funds to send you to a training or conference, you are eligible for up to $150 per year for reimbursement of registration or travel expenses. This stipend has been used to help 16 district employees attend the Certified Procurement Officer (CPO) Recertification Training from New Mexico Edge on June 28th in Albuquerque.
