All students in fourth and fifth grades have the opportunity to participate in Holly Tree’s Cardinal Chorus as a club option.  Singing in the chorus is a year-long commitment that affords your child the means to develop and improve vocal music skills and enhance self-confidence through group performance.

Weekly Rehearsal Information

                                                              Cardinal Chorus rehearses on Fridays during club times.                                                                                                                                                   Fourth Grade - 10:00 - 10:55 a.m.  

                                                                                        Fifth Grade - 11:25 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.

Every minute of rehearsal time is valuable and each member of the Cardinal Chorus is important and vital to the success of the group and all performances.  Therefore, if a student commits to membership in the chorus, attendance and participation are required for the entire school year.  As Cardinal Chorus rehearses only once each week, your consideration of the scheduled chorus rehearsal time is most appreciated when arranging non-emergency appointments! 

Expectations

• • Singers will be in place and ready to rehearse at the appropriate time.

  • Singers will participate and be attentive and respectful throughout the entire rehearsal.

• Singers will attend each scheduled rehearsal and performance. 

• Singers must attend each final rehearsal (during the school day), in order to participate in the concerts.

• Singers must attend the evening concert in order to participate in the subsequent concert during the school day.

 Consequences

• First offense - student receives a verbal warning.

  • If a student receives two warnings, parents will receive a letter detailing the need for improvement.

  • If the student's behavior does not improve, a second letter will be sent dismissing the student from chorus and all related activities for the remainder of the school year.
