A little bit about Mrs. Gould

This will be my twenty-second year teaching at Ogden.  I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UNC-Wilmington in 2002.  I earned National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist in 2008 and recently renewed.  I am honored to have been nominated by my peers as Ogden's 2009-2010 teacher of the year! It was also an honor to be recognized as the New Hanover County teacher of the year for 2009-2010!

I am excited to be teaching kindergarten this year!  I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grade and have enjoyed each one in different ways.  My heart is with kindergarten children, their families, and the kindergarten curriculum.  I am looking forward to getting to know your children and working with them to establish a strong foundation and love of learning.  I strive to create an exciting and structured learning environment where the best is brought out in each child.

When I am not at school I love to spend time with my family!  My husband, David, works for the NC Highway Patrol.  Our daughter, Tenley, is 12 and our son, Asher, is 9.  Our family enjoys spending time outside, playing games, and going to the beach!  I look forward to getting to know your families this year as well!
